We're known as the the "Emerald Coast", the "Redneck-Riveria", the "Cradle of Naval Aviation",
the "Home of the Blue Angels", and the "World's whitest beaches".
I have a friend that came as a tourist from the
Chicago area to stay for a few weeks. She ended up staying for over 20 years & she's still here!
Jimmy Buffet has a house a few miles to the west on Ono Island next to Perdido Key and he's said that we have more
here to offer than the Islands of the Carribean and that's why his sister has "Lulu's Resturant a few miles west in Gulf Shores, AL on the Intracoastal Waterway.
In truth Pensacola and the area around it offer the most bang for your relocation dollar if you like nice weather, seasons, beaches,
beautiful fresh water rivers, Great health care, wonderful University, Great Golfing, Yacht and Country Clubs, Great & urban areas and
wonderful cluture in the area that was the 1st Settlement by Spain 450 years ago. They picked us out of all that Gulf and Atlantic coastline.
They knew this was "Paradise", even back then!
Pensacola is a destination paradise. On our Nature Coast you can find cabbage palms and laurel oaks towering over cherry
laurels, saw palmettos, wild olives, prickly pears, red cedars, and Spanish bayonets. Three gentle sea animals that make appearances
in the region are the dolphin, the sea turtle, and somtimes the manatee. The graceful and oft-friendly dolphin can be found in the waters of
the Gulf of Mexico. The sea turtle, the largest land reptile, can be spotted in several areas along the Gulf Coast.
From the sugar white beaches to small creeks and bayous, water, both salty and fresh, is central to life in the Pensacola area.
Residents of the Pensacola Bay Area treasure the water, and the many other natural resources which surround them everyday.
They also realize that these natural resources belong to future generations and as such, need to be treated with great
care.
Consider spending the rest of your life here. I don't think you'll regret it.
